There is a growing network of youth groups in Grand Rapids that are sharing resources, encouraging one another, hosting collaborative events, and more. You are invited to join in!
Collaborative Youth Events
GR Youth Kickoff - September 7 or 14
Hosted at Hillside Community Church: Yard games, dessert provided, 7 churches attended. Was directly after a popular community event (South Christian Victory Day). We had just over 100 students.
One Kingdom, One Body Service Project - October 5
Hosted by Friendship CRC: Multi-site (15-20 sites) service project for high school students in the Grand Rapids area.
Worship Service: October 27
Hosted by Providence CRC: Exclusive worship (meaning it’s only worship… not exclusive in who can come) service for high school students.
Escape Room Event/Dinner: January 11
Covenant Church; 4pm - 6:30 PM
Protect Young Eyes Workshop: January 26
Creating Safer Digital Environments; for MS and HS students AND their parents; Dinner served; at Hillside Church; 4 PM
Youth Winter Retreat - February 21-23
Hosted by Hillside Community at Faholo Conference Grounds. A two night spiritual formation retreat for high school students
Area-wide Youth Worship Gathering - March 22. 5pm
Hosted by Providence CRC: Exclusive worship (meaning it’s only worship… not exclusive in who can come) service for high school students.
End of the Year Cookout - April 19
Hosted by all churches. End of the year BBQ and (weather permitting) yard games. Perhaps slip n’ slide dodgeball.
