Is prayer a challenging spiritual discipline for you? Do you feel that prayer is for others who seem to have the right words, or fancier words? Are you trying to improve your prayer life but don’t know how to do it? The answer is closer than you might think. God gave us the book of Psalms, a book of prayers used by the Hebrews and Christians alike throughout human history. The Psalms have the words, attitude, and the prayer language the Old Testament saints used to approach God. I want to encourage you to read this article by pastor Kevin DeYoung  and to give it a try at praying through the Scripture.
