Thanking God for our monthly Food Truck Ministry at Community Church, which currently helps to provide extra food for 150-200 households in and around our church neighborhood. This is also a wonderful opportunity for Outreach-as it’s always our hope to connect with those who come, and to discern opportunities where we can meet their spiritual needs along with their physical ones.
One recent example of such a “God moment” was when a neighborhood couple came to volunteer for the very first time this month, and they felt so welcomed and embraced they ended up accepting the many invites to join us afterwards for the annual church picnic. It was a fun day of food and fellowship, and we were very blessed to have new people to share it with. They left full and smiling, with promises to join us again next month.
Many seeds of kindness were planted that day, and that’s what I love about the simpleness of Outreach-it can be done anywhere by anyone, and God will provide those “moments” wherever we are!
