Description of Ministry

As the director, I oversee all ministry aspects of the DOCK Ministry. As a faith-based ministry, we are dedicated to be a drop-in center for the middle school and high school students Monday – Thursday from 3-5pm.

During that time, we offer the following:
-10-15 minute devotional (Cross-Talk)
-A mini meal for every student
– Tutoring/homework help
– mentoring
– Spiritual leadership
– Leadership skills
– Safe place for students to hang out
– Games, pool tables, air hockey, ping pong, other group activities
– Crafts

Encouraging Story

During our most recent Cross-Talk, we talked about faith. For some, they are afraid to believe in something or someone that is “to good to be true.” For others, it was challenging to hear that God holds us accountable to our actions, words and beliefs. That there is temporal and eternal consequences to every action committed, word that is said and a belief that is lived out.

Many of our students are not Christians. Yet, they keep coming. We have a Muslim student that is here two-three times a week. Every week, we have memory verses that students can do for a piece of candy and this precious Muslim student earned herself a piece.

I am grateful for the opportunities to share these stories to you and to our supporting churches. We are praying that more churches and individuals would here what our God is doing in the Kelloggsville/Godwin schools through the DOCK Ministry.
